Don’t let the takeaway at the front fool you, hidden in behind the colourful ribbons is Hang Dai. Inspired by Blade Runner and John Carpenter movies(with a touch of Deadwood), Hang Dai is a futuristic, retro, fun, contemporary Chinese/Asian restaurant and music bar. With a wood fired traditional Chinese oven taking centre stage, Chinese dishes like Beijing Roast Duck and Mapo Tofu are always present. Whilst we stay true to some traditional Chinese recipes, our approach is always playful and we tend to merge various Asian cuisines using high end local ingredients.

Even though Roast Duck and Dumplings are our main squeeze, the music and cocktails are no mere side hustle. A custom built sound system, dj booth and acoustically treated room mean that after dinner service DJ’’s belt out tunes until the wee hours with a carefully constructed cocktail menu in town!
